🕊️ In Loving Memory of Past State President Sammie Maze

It is with great sadness that the Alabama Rural Letter Carriers’ Association shares the passing of Sammie E. Maze, a longtime rural carrier, dedicated union member, and Past President of the ALRLCA.

Throughout the years, Sammie served our Association in many roles, giving generously of his time, knowledge, and leadership in service to Alabama’s rural carriers. His dedication to the rural carrier craft and to our Association leaves behind a legacy that will not be forgotten. We are grateful for the many years he spent serving and supporting our membership.

Sammie went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Funeral arrangements:
📅 Thursday, October 1, 2026
🕐 Public Visitation: 1:00–2:00 p.m.
🕑 Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m.
📍 Kimberly Church of God

Kimberly, AL 35091

The family would like to have a choir made up of family, friends, church family, and anyone else who would like to participate during the service. Those wishing to sing are asked to let the family know.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Kimberly Church of God for its ministry to Israel.

Please keep the Maze family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We extend our deepest condolences to Sammie’s family, friends, fellow rural carriers, and all who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him.

Thank you, Sammie, for your many years of dedicated service to the ALRLCA and Alabama’s rural carriers. Your service and legacy will be remembered. 💙📬
